How Our Solar Production Guarantee Works

1. Accurate System Modelling: Before installation, Innovo’s in-house solar engineers design your system using industry-leading software. We account for:

• Panel and inverter specifications

• Roof tilt, angle, and orientation

• Shade analysis (trees, chimneys, neighbouring structures)

• Historical weather patterns and irradiance for your location

2. Annual Production Target: Based on the model, your system is guaranteed to produce a minimum number of kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year. For example: “Your 10kW solar system is guaranteed to produce no less than 15,000 kWh in Year 1.”

This number is clearly outlined in your proposal and agreement.

3. Live Monitoring & Transparency: All Innovo Electrical & Solar systems come with real-time production monitoring through user-friendly apps or portals provided by your inverter or optimiser manufacturer, so you’ll always know how your system is performing.

4. Annual Performance Review:  Each year, we assess your system’s actual production against your guaranteed target. If it underperforms — and it’s not due to external or environmental factors — we take action (see below):

What We Cover:  Your Innovo Production Guarantee covers production loss due to:

• Solar panel underperformance (beyond expected degradation)

• Inverter malfunctions

• Improper or faulty installation

• Defects in isolators, cabling, or junctions installed by Innovo

• Poor connections or electrical faults within our scope of work

• Monitoring system failure that impacts system performance

• Excessive degradation outside of the manufacturer specifications

What’s Not Covered:  We’ll always be transparent with you. The guarantee does not apply to issues beyond our control, including:

• Grid outages or voltage fluctuations

• New shading caused by tree growth, construction, antennas, etc.

• Tampering, interference, or physical damage by others

What Happens if the Guarantee Isn't Met?

If your system fails to meet its guaranteed production target due to an issue covered under our guarantee, you’ll be eligible for one or more of the following remedies:

System Inspection & Repair:  We’ll inspect your system at no charge and identify any faults. Any components found to be defective under warranty will be replaced or repaired at our cost.

Performance Rectification:

If we identify that production was impacted by a fault, we’ll take corrective action to restore your system to its proper output level.

Production Shortfall Credit:  If your system has underperformed, then Innovo Electrical & Solar will offer you a financial credit or bill offset for the energy shortfall, based on the current retail energy rate or the Feed-in Tariff, whichever is applicable.

How to Claim Your Production Guarantee:  If you believe your system has underperformed:

• Check your monitoring portal and confirm year-on-year generation.

• Contact our support team at Innovo Electrical & Solar with your production figures and system details.

• We’ll verify the data remotely and, if needed, schedule a technician visit to assess the system.

• If your claim is valid, we’ll initiate the appropriate remedy — swiftly and professionally.
